      • So I'm not the only person asking this question

So what do burners do for New Years?
My boyfriend and I are spending our first New Year's Eve together. However, we don't want to pay exhorbitant amounts of money to go to overcrowded parties with bridge and tunnel people. We don't want to go to a random restaurant, and we probably don't want to stay home.

What's the alternative? Where do Burners go? Is there good music/good people/good fun somewhere in SF? Help!
in response to: Re: So what do burners do for New Years?
The Anon Salon with Peak Productions are doing a Sea of Dreams Party at the SF Exposition Concourse at 8th and Brennan(sp?). String Cheese Incident will be playing along with Bassnectar and more. Go to the SCI or Anon Salon websites to find out more. This party, in my opinion will combine the best of SFBM decompression and SCI jamband "trippy" communities... a merging of the streams if you will. Costumery and vibes will be OVER THE TOP!!! There are several different themed rooms so there'll be something for everyone. JUST GO DUDE!!~!!

And Randy reads this as another reason to think in terms of Sea of Dreams
        • this real nice gal (hell she asked me to be in her network of tribe friends) sent me this note with the invitation

Gosh, we've gone this far already...:) Have fun Randy, I of course expect a detailed report on your time once your head has stopped exploding & you come back to earth...Truly, the only better time I've had outside of a String Cheese show has been my BM experiences...all of the energy & creativity, with everyone going in the same direction mentally. At Bm, everyone has their own direction the energy takes them- sometimes light, sometimes dark. Cheese & company consolidates it & spins it in really positive directions. Please take lots of pics & y'all enjoy!!
          Love & light,
          Cathy
PS-check out the live music archive & download some shows to get familiar with the music. Not necessary, but I always enjoy having some familiarity with music.
